Do I need to wear them all the time?

Yes — at least 20–22 hours a day. They only come out to eat, drink hot drinks and clean your teeth. Compliance is the single biggest factor in a successful result.

Will they affect my speech?

There may be a very slight lisp for the first day or two, which almost always disappears as your mouth adjusts.
